About Cuan Counseling
“Cuan” is Irish for harbor: a place to steady yourself before heading back out.
My name is Thomas Davis, LCMHC, and I’m a therapist trained at Plymouth State University. I started out at a group private practice working with adults and families, and today most of my days are spent as a clinician in a partial hospitalization program, working with teens and families when things have gotten hard enough to need intensive care.
That work has taught me to stay steady when things feel urgent, and to keep coming back to what matters to the person in front of me. Cuan is where I bring that into longer-term, one-on-one work with you.
Outside the office you’ll find me skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer, and I’m always thinking of the next place I want to travel and what I’ll eat there.
